Welcome to the Department of Classical & Modern Languages and Literatures! Studying and teaching languages are our passions, and we would love to share them with you. We offer both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Foreign Languages as well as language minors. We teach 9 different languages and have 4 (soon to be 5!) language concentrations. Our faculty currently plan and lead study abroad programs to Spain and Nicaragua, and we have plans to add new faculty-led study abroad programs. Our facts sheet below will provide a quick overview of our languages, programs, student groups, and honor societies. Please explore our site to learn more about our department.
Our 2+2 agreement will help transfer students know which classes are the most appropriate to take during the two years spent at a community college if their goal is to finish in our program in a total of 4 years.
