The Dean’s Eminent Scholar designation recognizes faculty whose research has gained national visibility and strengthens the academic reputation of the College. The award includes a three-year term and dedicated funding to support continued research and creative work.

Department Head Robert West noted DiGiulio’s broad impact: “Dr. DiGiulio’s teaching and service contributions to the ‘classics’ concentration are enormous, and he engages in a great deal of other activity in service to the department, college and his discipline beyond our campus. On top of that, he has a truly remarkable record of research productivity.”

The department proudly congratulates Dr. DiGiulio on this well-earned honor.
